Brian K. Hall – Founding Director and 2012 President
With his wife Jill, Brian is the founder and co-owner of Repro Graphix, a digital print company. Jill, Brian, and their two daughters have been Geist residents and Admiral Sound homeowners since 1996.
Brian is a founding director and the current president of the Geist Lake Coalition and has been consistently one of its strongest supporters and passionate leaders. He has played a leading role in all of the Coalition’s programs and activities including the annual fireworks event, the safety and rescue boat fundraiser, and the spawning of the Geist Watershed Alliance. Brian also serves as the event chairman for the Blast on the Bridge 4th of July community celebration.
Brian is deeply passionate about both Indianapolis and the Geist community and generously gives his time, talent and treasure to many important initiatives. He is personally and corporately involved with more than 50 local, non-profit organizations. His involvement includes board member and fundraising chair for ACE Mentor Program of Indiana, godparent for St. Mary’s Child Center, founding board member for FAIR, executive board vice president for Lawrence Township Schools Foundation, founding director and president of the Geist Lake Coalition, and volunteer for the 500 Festival. Additionally, Brian is active with multiple professional associations and industry groups including the American Institute of Architects and the Society of Marketing Professional Services.
Brian has been recognized for his service in many ways including receiving a Key to Lawrence Township for outstanding community service, a Walter Blackburn Distinguished Protégé Award, a 2010 AIA Indiana Citation Service Award, an ACE Mentor Affiliate Builder Award, and a 2010 Colts Community Quarterback Award.
Brian is the proud father of Kelsey, a junior at Lawrence Central High School, and Caroline, a freshman business major at IU. Brian’s pastimes include spending time with his family as well as photography, cars, snow skiing, water skiing, boating, and golf.
Scott Rodgers – Founding Director & 2012 Vice President
Scott Rodgers and his wife Linda have been residents of the Geist area for the past 16 years and raised two children, Lindsey and Michael who went through the Lawrence Township School System. Scott is the Managing Director of Scott Rodgers & Associates which is a boutique Executive Recruiting firm specializing in find hard-to-locate talent in the technology, energy, bio-med, and financial services segments on a regional and national basis.
Previous to his recruiting career Scott was the Director of IT at RCI, Inc. and had a long career with the IBM Corporation in field and corporate headquarter roles in sales, marketing, and consulting responsibilities. He also had a ten-year stint in the antique and classic car field running Blackhorse Classic Automobile after graduating from Miami University (Ohio).
Scott is one of the founding directors of the Geist Lake Coalition. From day one he has provided passion and leadership in all Coalition activities and in getting other residents active and involved Scott has had particular focus in bettering our community. Scott has served through the years as a GLC director, vice president, and president and continues to be fully engaged in helping drive the expansion and development of both the GLC and Geist Watershed Alliance in the last two years as the driving force behind the Geist/Fall Creek Watershed Alliance (GWA) and its mission of clean water initiatives in our immediate area and up through the Mid-Indiana Watershed.
Scott has a real passion in getting people involved in their community and is a believer that we all can and should try to make a difference and contribute where we can, whether it be community, or in our environment.
Ed Villanyi – Founding Director and 2012 Treasurer
Ed and his wife Laura have lived on the north end of Geist since 1998. Laura is well known local artist and Ed is an accomplished financial advisor and FIVE STAR Wealth manager with Merrill Lynch. Ed and Laura are proud parents of Theodore – an HSE junior, Anna – an HSE senior, and this year they also are hosting a German exchange student, Miriam.
Ed is a founding director, one of the original architects, and consistent leader of the Geist Lake Coalition. He has been a driving force in leading the Coalition to be a positive steward of the lake resources and our surrounding community. Ed has previously served the organization as both president and vice president. He has played a leadership role in all of the Coalition’s activities including planning and executing the Fishers Fire Boat fundraiser, and the annual Blast on the Bridge July 4th event.
Ed supports a number of community organizations and initiatives including his involvement with the creation of the Fall Creek Community Organization (FCCO) – an organization focused on creating development standards for 116th and Olio Road commercial development.
Ed has been an avid boater since he was 10 and continues to be active in skiing, pleasure boating, and power boating. He is often on the water slalom skiing before work at sunrise, cruising in the evening, or pleasure boating on the weekend. He also is a regular participant in midwest power boat poker runs. He loves being on the water and every chance to be on snow or water skis.
